Apple Company Marketing Strategy
I am interested in the article because it provides the strategies that a successful company has used in order to realize the results of the marketing strategy – more sales. Apple Company is considered to be one of the great marketer and from this article, we can learn what has made the company to be so.
It is apparent that the company has been a winner of the CMO Survey award for marketing excellence for about 10 years consecutively. Even though it has experienced challenges such as slowing old phones, the company still holds the legacy of being one of the best marketers. Hence, there must be strategies which the company has been using for its marketing. From the article, the value proposition of Apple focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction (Moorman, 2018). Their marketing value proposition has created a belief by its customers that the products they produce are of quality and reliable.
Concerning the marketing relevance, Apple has tried to reduce the pitfalls which result to negative customer experience. The strategy is of creating an ecosystem of experience where customer focus is a main concern. It is evident that one of the key pitfalls is the difficulty of maintaining a good customer experience. When an Apple Pay (one of its product) does not work in a vendor, then Apple needs to take it as its own problem. When Pasture app is misbehaving, then it has to take responsibility and ensure there is a quick solution. To maintain such customer experience has been a challenge. Hence, the company has introduced a marketing relevance that works to maintain customer experience as well as the perception of the company’s products and services.
The challenge faced by the company is maintaining its products and services quality consistency. It has used a strategy of improving customer experience and taking full responsibility of maintain a good quality of its products. The unique thing about the marketing approach used is that it has come up with products that meet the needs of the customers. For instance, it has innovative applications and devices that are secure. This has inspired more people to be fond of Apple products.
If I were the product manager, I will continue to focus on innovations and marketing strategy that aim at maintaining customer experience. The marketing approach used seems to be good because it involves strategic campaigns, a good value proposition and oriented towards covering the pitfalls and weaknesses in the company. From the article, I have learnt that having a good marketing strategy that only focuses on reaching many people but portraying the true value and experience of the product or service is a good way of making the marketing successful.
